    This application made under the Local Government (Rating) Act 2002 Section 20.
  • Who can use this form

    This form can be completed by applicants who wish us to review and appropriately treat rating units in common ownership as one unit for setting a rate.

    In the Local Government (Rating) Act 2002 Section 20 it states that two or more rating units must be treated as 1 unit for setting a rate if those units are:

    • Owned by the same person or persons; and
    • Used jointly as a single unit; and
    • Contiguous (adjacent) or separated only by a road, railway, drain, water race, river or stream.

  • Please list the properties you hold in common ownership that you would like to be reviewed against the
    Local Government (Rating) Act Section 20.

    Under property use please include what activity is generating income if applicable, e.g. dairy farming, sheep farming etc.

  • Choose the best signatory option. It is easier to request a printed name for signatory vs actual signiture but you can slect the choice you prefer and delete the other.
